The monthly Adventures of Jonas Quantum comic will carry a $3.99 cover price, and will mix both superhero and science fiction conventions in its central character, a misunderstood genius with amazing powers.
Maverick genius Jonas Quantum is “cursed” with the gift of infinite intelligence that allows him to make breakthroughs in all sorts of different fields. His major flaws are in the realm of interpersonal relationships—he doesn’t play well with others—but cosmic voyages and history changing inventions are right up his alley, which should make for an action-packed space opera.
Since its launch in 2010, Legendary Comics has continued to build up its list of titles incrementally, and the addition of the ongoing Jonas Quantum monthly from topflight creators Guggenheim and Williams definitely fortifies the company’s 2015 initiatives (see “New Guillermo Del Toro Pacific Rim Comic”).
