Dynamite Entertainment has announced several summer releases including a new Battlestar Galactica series, new Women of Dynamite statues, a new Evil Ernie miniseries and an Art of The Shadow hardcover.

The new Battlestar Galactica series will be written by Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, The Sixth Gun), with art by Alex Sanchez (Mad Max: Ride, Katana). Four covers will be available for issue #1 by Sanchez, Butch Guice, Juan Doe and Michael Adams. The story will follow the Galactica as it ventures into the uncharted realms of a cosmic mystery. Release is planned for August 3.

The Dynamite Art of The Shadow will include over 320 illustrated pages celebrating the iconic character from artists including Alex Ross, Howard Chaykin, Matt Wagner, John Cassaday, Francesco Francavilla, Tim Bradstreet, Wilfredo Torres, Chris Samnee, and Jason Shawn Alexander. Michael Uslan, the author of The Boy Who Loved Batman and Archie Marries, will provide the foreword. Release is planned for August 31.

Evil Ernie will celebrate his 25th Anniversary this year, and the psycho killer will make his return in the new miniseries Evil Ernie: Godeater. The series will be written by Justin Jordan (The Strange Case of Luther Strode, Green Lantern: New Guardians) with art by Colton Worley (The Shadow, Vampirella). Release is planned for August 3.

Dynamite will add two new statues to its Women of Dynamite line this summer. Red Sonja is designed by J. Scott Campbell and sculpted by Jason Smith. The statue stands approximate 11.5” tall on a 5.5” base. Deja Thoris is based on Frank Cho artwork and sculpted by Jason Smith. The statue stands 12” high (to the tip of her sword) and stand on a 6” base. Both statues are hand-painted on cold-cast porcelain and are individually numbered as part of a Limited Edition run.
