Alyssa Milano’s graphic novel Hacktivist is set to make the leap to the small screen courtesy of the CW, according to Deadline.

Matt Corman and Chris Ord, who created and produced USA’s Covert Affairs, are set to write the series, which will be executive produced by the pair alongside Milano and BOOM! Studios’ Ross Richie and Stephen Christy. BOOM!’s Josh Levy will co-executive produce the series. At present, there are no plans for Milano to act in the series.

Hacktivist, which was first published in 2014 by BOOM!’s Archaia imprint (see “Archaia to Publish Alyssa Milano's 'Hacktivist' Graphic Novel”), follows Ed Hiccox and Nate Graft, the founders of a popular social media company who moonlight as hackers. The government discovers their activities, and they soon find themselves forced to work for the CIA. The series, based on a story by Milano, was written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, and drawn by Marcus To.

Hacktivist is only the latest comic book property to find a home on the CW. The network is home to popular adaptations of DC’s Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl (see “Four DC CW Series Return In Early October”), and a live-action series based on Archie Comics’ Riverdale is currently in production (see “Mid-May Geek TV Round-Up: 'Supergirl' & 'Riverdale' to the CW”).
