Kirby Tardy of Tardy's Collectors Corner in Grand Rapids, Michigan wonders why U.S. retailers will receive product a day later than Canadian retailers after the July 4th holiday:

I find it disturbing to note that comics are delayed yet again to a Thursday (July 10th) for good old USA customers, yet Canadian retailers will have their comics on Wednesday July 9th.  As a border state, this certainly gives an unfair advantage to a large group of comic stores.  Can anyone explain how Canada will get normal shipping yet Michigan, Ohio and others will be delayed?

On another note, last week I was told that Kick-Ass was short-shipped to everyone at 40% of their orders and the balance would ship this week; well the balance did ship, but instead of an instant sell-out (like all previous issues) this one sold about half of normal, why?  Because most other stores were NOT shorted as I was.  We need this product on a timely basis, all the time, and fairly distributed.  I'm sure most people don't realize that we already get comics a week late compared to the past based on when comics are released from the printer.  Am I the only guy that remembers the frantic weekly drive from Sparta Printing to get comics circulated countrywide in two days or less?  Yet now comics arrive almost two weeks after the print job is done.  What a step forward!

Lucky for me I'm at the stage of my life where I won't have to deal with this for too much longer.  Oh, will they miss me when I'm gone?
