Bill Norris Jr. of New Age Comics in Eugene, Oregon sent us this comment on the new cover stock on the Marvel Ultimate books.
What's up with Marvel and the new covers for the Ultimate line? The covers are cheap and flimsy. The things are easily damaged and when shipped or stored together they let off a nasty chemical smell. Does anyone who likes his comics in nice shape like these things? They remind me of the early 90's Hong Kong kung fu comics. Anyway I was hoping that you guys might have a way to pass on the message to other shops to email marvel or write them to tell them if they like or dislike the covers. So far 99% of my customers hate the new covers. I think that if Marvel went back to the covers they were using before and even if they had to raise the price per issue a quarter people would still be happy.
