Score Entertainment has outlined its rollout plans for the May 23rd release of its Bleach Trading Card Game, which is based on the popular anime and manga series from Viz Media. Score's marketing plans involve both retail and consumer initiatives such as free retailer-only promo kits, 'Premier Sneak Peek' events at retail venues, and a wrapper redemption program for consumers.
Retailers can visit the Score Website and sign up for a free Bleach TCG promo kit, which contains everything a store needs to assist with its sales efforts including a promotional poster, window cling, point-of-purchase counter display, sales flier, demo DVD and two guided game packs. The demo DVD is an easy to follow teaching tool that walks viewers through a demo of the game. Guided game packs include 19 playable cards, a playmat and guided game instructions.
Players and collectors will also be able to obtain free promo cards via cross promotions with licensed Bleach partners, by visiting the Score Entertainment booth at conventions and through a new wrapper redemption program. A distinct wrapper redemption icon will be located on the back of starter and booster packaging.
The Bleach TCG hits shelves in May 2007. Each starter contains a 72 card pre-constructed deck plus 2 free booster packs and has a suggested retail price of $11.99. A booster pack includes 10 random cards and sells for $3.29 per pack.
Two additional releases are planned for 2007 (see 'Bleach TCG Debuts in May')
