Dave Brzeski of The House On The Borderland in Peterborough,
Much has been said on here in the past about Marvel's policy of not overprinting. It's always a pain when you can't get restocks of a sellout title, but we've just hit the really painful side of this problem hard. A couple of weeks ago a box intended for us went missing. We're understandably upset, but bad things happen, so we're not giving Diamond
Of course, we've been credited for the missing stock and replacements have been sent for those titles still available, but it looks very likely that not only will we lose sales on several important out of print Marvels, but it's going to severely impact on future sales, as this includes some first issues. It seems we stand little chance of ever seeing Fallen Son Death Of Captain
We are a very small shop, as evidenced by the fact that all of our missing titles fit into one small box, but the impact on future sales should we be unable to supply these titles will be a problem. What do we do with the following issues, which were ordered before the problem arose? How do I order the next issues to appear on the monthly order forms, without knowing exactly how this will affect future sales?
Even a small overrun of these titles would have enabled Diamond
