According to Variety, Lionsgate has acquired distribution rights to The Spirit and will will co-finance and co-produce the live action film with Odd Lot Entertainment. 

 

Frank Miller has recently finalized the script and is set to direct on his own for the first time (see 'Miller to Helm 'Spirit' Movie').
