Vertigo announced that horror novelist Peter Straub and actor/writer Michael Easton will co-write an original graphic novel, The Green Woman.  Straub is best known for Ghost Story, Koko and The Hellfire Club and has collaborated with Stephen King on The Talisman and Black House.  Easton plays a featured character on the soap One Life to Live and has written screenplays (Monty).

 

The Green Woman is a psychological horror story that will take readers into the minds of a serial killer and the police detective on the case.

 

Vertigo also announced that novelist and screenwriter Jay Cantor will write his first graphic novel for them, called Aaron and Ahmed.  Cantor is known for his critically acclaimed 1987 novel, Krazy Kat as well as The Death of Che Guevara and Great Neck, and has worked on screenplays for Disney, Columbia, Universal and HBO.

 

In Aaron and Ahmed, a man who loses his wife on a plane that hits the World Trade Center devotes his life to fighting jihadists. He ends up exploring the possibilities and dangers of brainwashing.

 

The DC/Minx line also announced a follow-up title to The Plain Janes, by Cecil Castellucci and Jim Rugg entitled, Janes in Love, slated for 08.
