Entourage's Kevin Dillon will play the lead in National Lampoon's 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus Wallace Leonidas, a spoof of 300, according to Variety. Shooting will start before the end of the year.
Chipping off a little piece of 300 (and other recent men-in-skirts epics) looks like a good plan; the movie was not only a box office hit but is tearing up the DVD charts (see '300 DVD Makes It Two in a Row').
The role is full circle for Dillon, whose character in Entourage was the star of Viking Quest, a genre series popular with fans at a mythologized San Diego Comic-Con.
