According to retailer John Gavin of York Comics & Cards in Parma, Ohio, DC Direct figures have been showing up at Marc's discount drugstores in the Cleveland area at $3.99 each, with Hush and Identity Crisis figures currently on sale.  Gavin speculated that, 'Knowing how this chain buys clearance items, they probably paid around $1.00 per figure.' 

We asked DC why those figures hadn't been offered at liquidation prices to direct market retailers and whether they would be in the future. DC Direct's Vice President of Business Development Jeff Trojan told ICv2, 'We offer marked down DC Direct and DC Unlimited product to our partners in the Direct Market. The next opportunity for Direct Market retailers to purchase marked down DC Direct items will be in Diamond's upcoming Blizzard sale, which runs from October 22nd to November 21st.'
