The 2007 Ignatz Awards were announced at the SPX (Small Press Expo) that was held over the weekend in Bethesda, Maryland.  Nominees for the awards are chosen by a panel of five cartoonists and then voted on by attendees at the SPX event.  Drawn & Quarterly dominated this year with Adrian Tomine, Kevin Huizenga, Gabrielle Bell and Anders Nilsen all taking home awards for books published by the Canadian-based company.
