The Simpsons Movie received some critical recognition in the form of a Golden Globe nomination in the Animated Feature category, along with Ratatouille and Bee Movie, in the nominations announced today. Notable by their absence were Beowulf, the Robert Zameckis motion-capture epic which got largely positive reviews and good box office; and Persepolis, which was instead consigned to the Foreign Language Film category (the English language version opens on Christmas, see ''Persepolis' Animated Feature').
