McFarlane Toys has announced two new action figure lines, Legends of the Bladehunter and Warriors of the Zodiac, based on original, unlicensed fantasy concepts, plus two more series of action figures based on the hugely popular Halo 3 video game from Bungie Studios.  The first series of Halo 3 figures (see 'McFarlane's Halo 3 Toys') will be out in February followed by Series 2, which consists of Master Chief, Brute Stalker, ODST, Drone, Arbiter, and Spartan Soldier, in July and Series 3, which includes Master Chief, Elite Combat, Brute Chieftain Weapon Class, Jackal Mortar, Human Flood, Spartan Soldier Haybusa-Red, Spartan Soldier Rogue-Olive, and Spartan Soldier Recon-Teal, in September.

Try-Dragon Rider

In addition to the more or less surefire Halo 3 releases McFarlane Toys is also planning the dark fantasy Legends of the Bladehunter toy series, which consists of highly-detailed action figures of the Dragon Rider Tyr, Lake Demon (Basilisk), Eternal Dragon, Ogre, and the King Draako Box Set.

Cancer

The other new series of fantasy figures from McFarlane consists of twelve six-inch action figures inspired by the signs of the Zodiac with a backstory that posits that the twelve Warriors of the Zodiac have to defend Earth from an alien invasion.  The Warriors of the Zodiac, which will consist of the usual spectacularly sculpted and highly articulated 6' McFarlane figures, will be issued in three series.  The first series (Aries, Gemini, Taurus, Cancer) is due out in May, with a second series (Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio) releasing in September, and the third series (Sagitarrius, Capricorn, Aquarious, Pisces) due in October.
