The ABC Family Channel has announced the June 16th debut of The Middleman TV series, which is based on the Viper Comic written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach, a veteran TV writer who is currently working on the NBC series The Medium.  In addition to writing the comic book series, Grillo-Marxuach has also written the pilot and the fourth episode of the series about the indomitable Wendy Watson, art student turned crime fighter for the world’s most secretive organization.  The cable and satellite-based ABC Family Channel announced last February that it liked the series pilot episode enough to order a full season of The Middleman (see “ABC Family Picks Up the Middleman”).

By the time The Middleman TV series debuts in June retailers will have The Middleman: The Collected Series, which includes all three of The Middleman graphic novels that have been released by Viper Comics.  The 336-page, black-and-white volume has a cover price of $19.95.
