Lionsgate has picked up the option on Mike Miller’s Deal With the Devil comic book/graphic novel series originally published by Alias Comics.  Screenwriter Kyle Ward, who brought the property to Lionsgate, is set to adapt the comic with David Tischman (Bite Club) and Lisa Brause producing.

Miller’s unique take on the “cop buddy” film pairs one of the best man-hunters in the history of the FBI with his former prey (a killer who shot him and got away) in the search for an even more heinous serial killer.  This obviously cinematic property earned a loyal following as it moved from black-and-white back-up feature to a full color comic book mini-series. Alias Comics has announced that it will be publishing a Deal With the Devil trade paperback ($14.99) this fall, which will include a six-page prologue in addition to the five issues of the original mini-series.
