Desperado Publishing will launch a new Deadworld graphic novel anthology series, Deadworld: Chronicles, in October.  Stories will be written by Gary Reed, Chris Dows, Colin Clayton, Gary Francis, and the original Deadworld writer, Stu Kerr.  Artists include Mark Bloodworth, Wayne Reid, Bill Bryan, Steve Beckett, Tomm Gabard, and others. 

A new Deadworld comic miniseries, Deadworld:  Slaughterhouse, will also launch in October.  Gary Reed will write, with art by Sami Makkonen. 

Other Desparado Deadworld publishing projects in the pipe include original graphic novels; a special project involving the original Deadworld artist, Vincent Locke; and new editions of the Image Requiem for the World graphic novel and the original material from the first comic series. 

Deadworld is starting to get some non-comic traction, with an RPG (see “Deadworld RPG in 08”), action figure (see “Indie Spotlight Figures Out this Month”), and novel all in the works.  A film is also on the horizon.
