Dark Horse Deluxe has created a noir-infused line of collectible products in conjunction with the release of Frank Miller’s adaptation of Will Eisner’s The Spirit on Christmas Day.  Dark Horse Deluxe’s The Spirit merchandise items range from a limited edition $199.00 1/7th scale statue of the eponymous hero of the upcoming Lionsgate release to $14.99 for a journal decorated with a moody silhouette of the hero posed against a snow-spackled night sky with a dozen lighting elements embedded in the book’s cover that twinkle on and off when activated by a hidden button.

The Spirit Statue sculpted by Kolby Jakes in a numbered, limited worldwide edition of just 750 copies finds our hero peering over a rooftop in Central City, poised and ready to spring.  The fully painted figure is 11.21” wide by 8.5” high and 7.34” deep.  It will be available for a retail price of $199.00 on the same day that the movie opens.

In addition to The Spirit Statue, Dark Horse Deluxe is also producing a Spirit Bust sculpted by Oluf Harvigson.  The Spirit Bust, which measures 4.3” wide by 6” high by 3.15 inches deep, will come packaged in a foam cube in deluxe color packaging, and is also being produced in a limited, hand-numbered edition of just 750 copies worldwide.  The Spirit Bust will retail for $59.99 and will be available on January 28th, 2009.

Continual snow fall is part of the graphic atmosphere of Miller’s film, and Dark Horse’s sculptors Jakes and Harvigson managed to capture the snow effect and the all-important environment of Central City itself in The Spirit Movie Snow Globe, which will be available in late November and will retail for $99.99.

Finally there is The Spirit Journal (MSRP $14.99), a 128-page blank book with a spectacular cover with embedded light elements.  A logo-lettered spine conceals the 5.5” x 8.5” journal’s spiral binding.
