Marvel Animation has announced plans for a 26-episode Thor animated series, to premiere in fall 2010, according to Variety.  The timing puts the premiere of the TV series just after the July 16, 2010 release of the Thor feature film (see “Branagh on Thor Movie”).  This continues Marvel’s refined strategy of tying publishing, movies, and animation into a single plan around its characters (see “Interview with Dan Buckley, Part 3”), 

The storylines will feature Thor in defense of Asgard against various threats, and will include Balder the Brave, the Warriors Three, and Loki as additional characters.
