Titan Books has announced the expansion of its publishing agreement with Golden Age comics pioneer Joe Simon, the co-creator of Captain America.  This summer Titan will launch The Official Simon and Kirby Library, which will now include full color hardcover volumes collecting Simon & Kirby’s horror, detective, and romance comics as well as the previously announced The Best of Simon and Kirby, and The Simon and Kirby Superheroes volumes (see “Titan to Publish Joe Simon Volumes”).

Titan also announced that it is delaying publication of Joe Simon’s autobiography from 2009 to 2010.  The first volume in The Official Simon and Kirby Library will be The Best of Simon and Kirby, which is due to be released in the summer of 2009.  The Best of Simon and Kirby will, thanks to cooperation from both Marvel and DC Comics, feature stories featuring Captain America, The Vision, Sandman, and The Boy Commandos.  Other famous characters included in the initial volume include Fighting American, Stuntman, and The Fly whose exploits will be accompanied by genre adventures from classic titles such as Black Magic, Justice Traps the Guilty, and Young Romance (the first important American romance comic).
