Upper Deck has announced that the first weekend of February will be Upper Deck Day, a special multi-brand organized play event.  The company will use the event to preview its new Huntik TCG, which will be released February 17th.  In addition to being able to demo the new game, all players will get a free Huntik Starter Deck.  

World of Warcraft will also be featured, with TCG beginner’s events, in which players can earn World of Warcraft TCG Booster Packs and get free Starter Decks, as well as WoW Miniatures Game demos. 

Yu Gi Oh will also be featured in a major way, despite the company’s ongoing dispute with Konami, which says it has terminated Upper Deck’s distribution agreement (see “Konami Responds on YGO TCG”).  The top three finishers at each location will receive a highly valuable prize card; winners will get a Gold Sarcophagus card and an entire box of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Booster Packs.  Other prizes include promo cards, Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG playmats, and t-shirts.
