Kathy Bottarini of Comic Book Box in Rohnert Park, California comments on the news (see "Marvel Changes FOC Date") of Marvel extending the FOC date for the upcoming Reborn #1:
I for one am glad that Marvel has changed it's FOC on Reborn #1. I HATE ordering blind, and quite frankly I don't appreciate being forced into that corner. It's an unfair position to sequester ordering numbers, especially in a such a large and diverse market. What this tactic does is to force retailers to cut other product to budget more for Marvel, with no information to justify other than getting to look stupid for not having ordered enough product IF their press release hits on a non-news day. I really appreciate the care that other publishers put into presenting their product in a fair and open manner--you have my thanks.
