Superstar cartoonist Sergio Aragones will become a regular contributor to Bongo’s Bart Simpson comics, beginning with #50. Aragones has work in every issue of Mad Magazine (except one) since 1963 and every major award in cartooning and comics.
Bart Simpson #50 will be a special all-Aragones issue, with every story and the cover by the artist. Among the features in #50 will be “The Simpsons Project,” an eleven-page main story; and “Maggie’s Crib,” a new regular feature in the vein of his “A Mad Look At…” feature in
Bongo Comics Creative Director Bill Morris warned that this combination “may result in more comedy than the average reader can safely handle. I predict it’ll be just like that movie The Perfect Storm, only hilarious.”
