Geoff Johns and Bill Birch will write a new script for DC property Shazam!, according to the Hollywood trades.  Johns is one of three comic writers detailed to Warner Bros. to work on DC movies (see “Johns to Produce Flash Movie”).  The most recent script of several, by John August, was deep sixed (see “Shazam Movie Dead”); the new approach is expected to hew more closely to the comic source material.
