Glen Soustek of Westlake Cards, Comics & Coins, Inc. in Roselle, Illinois shares in his Free Comic Book Day experience.
Just closed the doors on Free Comic Book Day 2010. Pushed through a little over 500 happy, family-orientated type folks for the day. The funny thing was, we weren't getting a lot of advanced calls and no calls at all on Saturday concerning FCBD. We ran our usually web-site stuff and some social-networking as advertising. Best retail day for any FCBD we'd ever done (and we've done them since the start). Lots of trades, some new-issue, some back issue and lots of new hook-ups for the pull & holds. All in all, a very successful promotion.
