Jason Pierce of Alter Ego Comics in Muncie, Indiana sends in this report on his Free Comic Book Day experience.
Free Comic Book Day 2010 was an overwhelming success! The day started with several people lining up to await the signs to be flipped and the day to begin. Mere minutes after opening the store was standing room only. Generating a great start to the day. Marjorie Liu and Sean McKeever were to start signing at 1pm and the line for them wrapped around the entire store a half hour prior. It was non-stop from that point on. Sean and Marjorie were gracious enough to continue to sign as long as people were willing. That didn't stop until closing!
This is my 5th year participating in FCBD and the response this year was the strongest yet. The enthusiasm and desire for our medium still exist.
