Just in time for the San Diego Comic-Con Marvel Studios has released some of the pre-production concept art images created for its Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor films that will be displayed at the Con.  The action-packed images were painted by artist Ryan Meinerding.

 

Both of these summer blockbusters are set for 2011.  Captain America: The First Avenger is slated to debut on July 22nd, 2011, just a couple of months after Thor unspools on May 6th, 2011.  Let’s hope they are as good as their concept art.
