Dynamite Comics has announced the October release of Dresden Files: Fool Moon #1, the first issue in a comic book adaptation of the second novel in Jim Butcher’s popular series of  Dresden Files fantasy/hardboiled mystery novels.  Mark Powers is adapting the novel and Brett Booth is providing the art.

With the release of Dresden Files: Fool Moon #1, Dynamite is signaling the continuation of the popular series of comic book/graphic novel adaptations of Butcher's work that was begun by Del Rey.  Welcome to the Jungle, the first Dresden Files graphic novel, was selected by the American Library Association as one of 73 “Great Graphic Novels for Teens” (see “2010 Great Graphic Novels for Teens”).  Harry Dresden, the eponymous private investigator and wizard, is one of the most interesting characters in contemporary fantasy literature, and Butcher’s blend of clever fantasy tropes and a realistic, hardboiled Chicago setting is always entertaining.

Earlier this year Evil Hat Productions announced a Dresden Files RPG (see “Dresden Files RPG”).
