Variety has reported that Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon has been hired to re-write The Amazing Spider-Man, the Spider-sequel due May 2004. Chabon won the Pulitzer Prize for The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier and Clay, a novel about the early days of the comic industry in New York. Various other have had their hands on the script, including David Koepp, who wrote the first movie.
