According to Deadline, Guggenheim, Green, and Berlanti are also hard at work on a Green Lantern sequel, which they hope to turn in to the studio by Christmas. With Deadline reporting that the footage from Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern movie looks “jaw-dropping,” the chances that the studio will proceed on a sequel with some dispatch appear quite good.
Though Berlanti directed the romcom Life as We Know, which opened at #2 last weekend, it doesn’t appear likely that he would helm either the Green Lantern sequel or a Flash movie as a source told Deadline that Berlanti doesn’t feel that he is ready to direct a complicated tentpole-type of film.
