Image Comics has announced that it is doubling down on its new Shadowline comic series Morning Glories by cutting the price on the monthly series and offering the first trade at an introductory price of $9.99.  The price on the monthly comic will drop to $2.99 in February with #7, the first issue of a new story arc.

 

Morning Glories Volume 1, the first trade paperback collection, will street on February 16th, one week before #7 kicks off the new storyline.  The trade paperback will be a 192-page, full color collection of the first six issues in the series, all of which have sold out. 

 

Morning Glories is written by Nick Spencer, drawn by Joe Eisma, and features covers by Rodin Esquejo.  It tells the story of six brilliant but troubled new students at Morning Glory Academy, a prestigious prep school where nothing is at is appears.
