Comic retailer organization ComicsPRO has announced that it will hold its Annual Membership Meeting in Dallas, Texas from February 10-12.  The goal of the event “will be to spawn a number of initiatives with publishers to invigorate the comics specialty market,” the announcement said. 

“This event looks to be the single most crucial business meeting for comic specialty retailers in 2011,” ComicPRO president Joe Field said. 

DC Comics will sponsor a full day of programming.  BOOM! Studios, Diamond Comic Distributors, Dynamite Entertainment, IDW Publishing, and Image Comics will sponsor meals.  Marvel Comics and Top Shelf Productions will attend.  Image co-founder Todd McFarlane will be an event participant.

IDW CEO Ted Adams will deliver the keynote address.

Retailers joining the event as Full Members through December 31st will have the attendance fee for their first attendee waived.
