Marvel has announced that a new series of short stories begins in Amazing Spider-Man #659 that leads up the biggest Spider-Man event of the year—Spider Island. Leading up to the big event superstar artists Barry Kitson, Lee Garbett, and Emma Rios join forces with writer Dan Slott in the build-up to a major narrative explosion.

 

“Infested” is the title of the story in the April 27th-shipping Amazing Spider-Man #659 (pencils and cover by Stefano Caselli) in which the first effects of a malevolent threat that’s been creeping towards Spidey for months are felt. The inexorable course of events that leads to Amazing Spider-Man #666, the Spider Island issue, has begun.
