Joe Krolik of Comics America in Winnipeg, Canada read about the Minnesota politician calling Neil Gaiman a “pencil-necked little weasel” (see “Pol Hating on Gaiman”) and had this reaction.

I suspect we know Matt Dean's true feelings about certain ethnic groups now.  Calling Neil Gaiman a "pencil-necked little weasel" is a highly anti-Semitic remark and alludes to the historical depiction of Jews as rodents or "rat-faced."  Gaiman, being Jewish, should be properly outraged at this.  I know that I am!  There's no place in politics or anywhere else for that matter for this type of comment.

Aside from being a great writer, Neil Gaiman does a lot of good for the industry and society in general by donating time and funds for charities.  I'd like to see if Matt Dean can boast of the same civic service instead of paying this type of lip service.  It's outrageous!
