David Luebke of Dave's Comics in Richmond, Virginia has been following the news and discussion surrounding DC's upcoming reboot of their comic line (see "DC Renumbering All Titles" and "Steven Myers of World of Comics on DC's Reboot") and makes this impassioned plea to DC.
I read several articles on the subject and most notably Steven Myers of World of Comics in South Daytona, Florida and what he had to say. He is right on target!!!!
I feel that the people that will make a difference are my customers and what their actions will be. So far it has been almost unanimous that the titles that will be changed will not be supported after the Reboot takes place. The logic of my customers is that the company wants to give the readers a jumping on place but they will use it to quit the titles and simply move on to something else if they can find it. No one is happy with the idea of negating the old number systems. My job and store depends on well-crafted stories not gimmicks. DC COMICS... PLEASE... I BEG YOU... IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DO NOT "FIX"IT!!!!!!
