Dynamite Entertainment and Bantam Books have announced that superstar comic book artist Alex Ross and Mike S. Miller, who illustrated the comic adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s The Hedge Knight, will be creating covers for the Game of Thrones comic book series, based on the first book in Martin’s A Song of Fire & Ice, which inspired HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones (see “Dynamite & Bantam to Adapt ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’”). 

 

The first issue of the comic series will be published by Dynamite in September, 2011 with compilations of the comics in graphic novel form to follow under the Bantam imprint.  Dynamite has provided this preview look at Alex Ross’ cover for the first issue of the series.
