ADV Films is set to release the first volume of the anime series Crying Freeman: Portrait of a Killer on March 11, 2003.  Based on the critically acclaimed manga series written by Lone Wolf & Cub scribe Kazuo Koike and illustrated by the extremely talented Ryoichi Ikegami (Sanctuary), Crying Freeman tells the tortured story of a brainwashed contract killer who refuses to rub out a beautiful woman that saw him perform one of his patented assassinations.  This violent and sexy saga carries a '17+' rating and has an srp of $29.98. The 100-minute disc includes the first two episodes of the series.
