Actress Natalie Portman is angry about the departure of Patty Jenkins (Monster) from the directing job on Thor 2 (see “Jenkins Off ‘Thor 2’”), according to Hollywood Reporter.  Portman was a strong supporter of Jenkins for the hire, which would have been the first woman to direct a superhero tentpole (see “Patty Jenkins to Direct Thor 2’”).  Portman reportedly heard about the departure, which may not have been as friendly as originally depicted, from secondhand sources. 

Meanwhile, the Don Payne script is being rewritten, according to the report. 

So Thor 2 now doesn’t have a script, lost its director in what may have been a contentious departure, and is going have a hard time making its release date of November 2013 (see “’Thor 2’ Debut Moved to November 15, 2013”).
