DC Comics unveiled its revamped Website today and provided fans with a treat in the form of a painting of the Before Watchmen Minuteman group by Lee Bermejo, who will be the artist on the Rorschach series.  The new site contains links to the comic shop locater service as well as to DC’s digital, comiXology-powered comics shop, as well as a link to DC Comics at the Warner Bros. shop.

 

Attention to social media is very much in evidence on the revamped DC site with facebook-enabled commenting throughout that allows fans to link to their facebook pages without an additional login step, plus DC-focused Twitter streams on the right hand side of the page.  Buttons at the top of the home page link to various pages of focused content (“Comics,” “Movies,” “TV,” “Games,” “Characters,” “Videos,” “Blog,” “Fans,” “Collectibles,” “Shop).  Especially useful features include a Character Encyclopedia (click on “Characters”) and a gallery of trailers from various live-action and animated DC Comics-based movies (hit “Videos”).
