Ridley Scott's Prometheus promises to be one of this summer's most intriguing releases.  The big budget science fiction film began as a sort of prequel to Alien, but evidently morphed into something bigger and more mindblowing.  This viral video featuring Michael Fassbender as an Eighth generation Weyland Industries robot in the grand Alien (and Aliens) tradition of Ash and Bishop, like most of the Prometheus marketing so far, is more intriguing than revealing.  Fassbender, who was brilliant as Magneto in X-Men: First Class is obviously up to the task of portraying a cultivated, solicitous, servile android, who, as he so helpfully points out without a trace of malice in his voice, "can do almost anything that can be asked of me.  I can carry out directives that my human counterparts find distressing or unethical."

Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Prometheus is slated to debut on June 8th (see "New 'Prometheus' Trailer).
