Warner Bros. has acquired the screen rights to Brendan Hay and Justin Wagner's Rascal Raccoon's Raging Revenge and the studio plans to create a hybrid live-action/animated film based on the Oni Press graphic novel.

Warner Bros. certainly is the perfect destination for the Rascal Raccoon saga, which takes place at "Toonie Terrace," an obvious reference to "Termite Terrace," the name given to the headquarters of the Looney Tunes unit on the old Warner Bros. lot--and the cover of the graphic novel indicates a certain passing familiarity with the Warner Bros. Roadrunner cartoons.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Fogel will adapt the graphic novel and Todd Strauss-Schulson, who helmed A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, will direct.
