Dynamite Entertainment and comiXology are teaming up to release Howard Chaykin’s masterful American Flagg comic book series across the entire comiXology platform, including iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and the Web.  The digital edition includes a brand new forward by Warren Ellis that puts Chaykin’s satirical masterpiece in its proper historical context and discusses the influence of this seminal work.

 

Chaykin’s American Flagg will be available for downloading as either single issues or as a completed graphic novel.  Chaykin, whose Shadow: Blood & Judgment series was recently reprinted by Dynamite (see "Howard Chaykin on 'The Shadow: Blood & Judgement'"), commented about the entry of American Flagg into the digital age: "When I first produced American Flagg in the 1980s, I had no idea just how much I got right about the dystopic future careening toward us.  Needless to say I’m delighted to have the material available digitally.  Now get to work you intellectual property thieves and scumbags—here’s one more thing to steal."
