Warner Bros. has released a new poster for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first film in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy.  The new poster provides an up close and personal look at Martin Freeman (Sherlock) as the young Bilbo.  The new design also prominently features Bilbo's sword, which is actually sort of like a big dagger, though it becomes a sword in terms of scale when wielded by a Hobbit.  Though it had no name at the beginning of The Hobbit, Bilbo names it "Sting" after his battle with the giant spiders in Mirkwood.

With The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey set to debut on December 14th, the pace of publicity releases is picking up. Warner Bros. released a cool new trailer last week (see "New Trailer for 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey'") along a trio of stills showing the Dwarves, The Troupe, and the Radagast (see "New 'Hobbit' Photos").
