Paramount has acquired the rights to the BOOM! Studios comic title Insurrection, according to Hollywood Reporter.  Blake Masters, who wrote the comic, is attached to write the script.  Masters also wrote the script for BOOM!'s 2 Guns (see "Grant's '2 Guns' Gets Screenwriter"), which will premiere next year.  

Producers will be Michael De Luca (who produced Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks), Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man), and BOOM! CEO Ross Richie.
