Green Ronin Press of Seattle, Washington, one of the leading publishers of d20 RPGs has announced an agreement with Dan Brereton to license his comic book, Nocturnals for the Mutants & Masterminds RPG. Green Ronin will publish Nocturnals: A Midnight Companion, an essential guide to the world and characters of the Nocturnals, which will include a new 8-page story and new rules for including Nocturnals adventures in the Mutants & Masterminds RPG. Brereton and Green Ronin founder Chris Pramas will write the sourcebook, which will be published in full color and lavishly illustrated by Brereton, Ted Naifeh, and Phil Noto. Green Ronin plans to release the 160-page hardcover late this summer. The $29.95 sourcebook will sport a full color cover by Brereton.
Oni Press, the current home of Brereton's Nocturnals, has published four Nocturnals graphic novels. Although he is primarily known as a comic creator, Dan Brereton's work will be familiar to many gamers thanks to his illustrations for games published by Wizards of the Coast, White Wolf, and Green Ronin.
