The release date for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (see "Stacy Keach in 'Sin City 2'") has been pushed back to 2014, according to Box Office Mojo. The new release date will be August 22, 2014, moved from October 4, 2013. No reason was given for the delay.
Another film based on a Frank Miller graphic novel was also delayed recently: 300: Rise of an Empire (see "First Trailer for '300' Sequel”) was moved from August 2, 2013 to March 7, 2014.
The move changes the summer of 2013 from an extremely crowded period for geek movies to a slightly less extremely crowded period for geek movies.
