New York Comic-Con News: Dynamite Entertainment has announced the 2014 release of The Art of Jock, a hardcover retrospective of the career of the British illustrator Jock (aka Mark Simpson), who burst into prominence in 2001 thanks to his work on Judge Dredd and Lenny Zero, where he worked with writer Andy Diggle for the first time. Since then Jock has created numerous illustrations for top flight UK advertising agencies, Hollywood studios, and game studios as well as finding time to provide comic art for Hellblazer and Diggle’s The Losers as well as notable covers for X-Men, Daredevil, and Scalped.
Dynamite’s The Art of Jock joins the publisher’s growing list of hardcover artbooks that already includes volumes for Alex Ross, Sean Phillips, and Howard Chaykin.
