Boom! Studios will launch two comic series based on Cartoon Network properties, an ongoing series based on the upcoming Steven Universe show, and a miniseries tied to Regular Show, titled Regular Show: Skips.
BOOM! has now officially announced a new ongoing series based on The Steven Universe, the Cartoon Network show created by Adventure Time writer, storyboard artist, and composer Rebecca Sugar, according to Comics Alliance.
The Steven Universe toon premieres November 4, but this week, readers got a look at the comic in a 4-page sneak preview, with story by Sugar, art by Lamar Abrams, inks by Danny Hunes, and colors and lettering by Jeremy Sorese, inside BOOM!’s Adventure Time: 013 Spoooktacular #1. BOOM! hasn’t announced the editorial team for the ongoing series, which will launch in 2014.
Regular Show: Skips, a new miniseries written and drawn by Mad Rupert, launches next week.
