Two veteran graphic novel publishing executives have formed a new company, Magnetic Press, to publish premium graphic novels by talent from around the world.  Mike Kennedy, who was Publisher at Archaia during a time when it was most successful at OGNs (see "Archaia Hires Kennedy") will be Publisher at Magnetic.  Wes Harris, who was Vice President-Publishing at BOOM! Studios from 2010-2012 and also had stints at Viz Media and White Wolf, will be CEO of the new company. 

The first titles will be for Spring 2014, and include Dave Dorman’s Wasted Lands; JD Morvan and Bengal’s Naja and Meka; F. Ruiz Velasco’s Culebra and Legion of Blood; Caio Oliveira’s Super-Ego, Prophet Hill, and Vivid; Francisco Paronzini’s Hugo Broyler; and Lucas Marangon’s Thinking Out Loud.
