Dynamite Entertainment has announced a new six-issue comic series based on the Pathfinder RPG, Pathfinder Comics: City of Secrets, which will be supported at launch by in-store play.
The new City of Secrets will be penned by Jim Zub, who wrote the first series (see "The Creation of 'Pathfinder' Comics"); with art by Leandro Oliveira and cover art by Genzoman, Carlos Gomez, Sean Izaakse and Steven Cummings. Like the previous series, each issue includes a Pathfinder RPG encounter, sourcebook appendix, and removable playable tactical map/art poster (see "RPG Map in 'Pathfinder' Comics").
Dynamite will be partnering with Paizo’s Pathfinder Society Organized Play program to connect retail stores with volunteer Game Masters to run in-store Pathfinder RPG demo events based on the encounters in the series. (In the launch scenario, Pathfinder goblins attack the hosting comic book store, and players must stand in defense on New Comic Book Day.) Interested store owners can contact their nearest Pathfinder Society Venture Captain regional coordinator from the list on Paizo’s website.
Dynamite also recently finished a five issue Pathfinder Goblins miniseries (see "'Pathfinder Goblins' Get Their Own Comic Book Series").
